This project was a 46,500 square foot remodel and addition which added a new classroom and office wing and renovated the entire existing facility. The project included a new 1200 amp service and thirteen sub-panels, a dimming system, a sound system, and the wiring of fourteen new furnace and thirteen new air conditioning units.
Nelson Electric accomplished the installation of the new service and feeders without disruption of the functioning of the church.
Also installed were three custom copper "light ring" fixtures in the main sanctuary, the daily mass, and baptismal fountain area.
Nelson Electric received a Project of the Year Award in 2001 from the Associated Builders and Contractors of Iowa for this project.
